District of Columbia Public Schools, which runs public schools. Alice Deal Middle School, Jackson-Reed High school and Janney Elementary Schools in Friendship Heights. Friendship Heights in the Maryland region is home to Somerset Elementary School, Westland Middle School and Bethesda Chevy Chase High School.The Tenley-Friendship Library is a part of District of Columbia Public Library. After an interim of seven years, the library reopened in 2011 at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Albemarle Streets.
